Prayer to save our school

Good and gracious God, we come before You first to ask Your forgiveness for not seeking Your help much sooner than this. You should have been the first Person we came to in our need. Forgive our pride in trying to solve our problems in our own ways which are often not Your ways. Please look upon us now as we humbly come before You with our cry for help. You know all too well how very much we need Sts. John and Paul School here in Ashtabula. You know this school exists for Your honor and glory. Our children are given not only an education for a future in the world, but they are also given the spiritual education that will help them to know, love and serve You in this world. As a Parent, You know what it is to want the best for Your children. We, as parents, also want what is best for our children. We truly feel Sts. John and Paul School strives to be the best. We need Your help in order for our school to remain open. We look to You for direction and wisdom, for peace and calm. Your Spirit has led us to come before You in prayer. In St. John’s Gospel You tells us that whatever we ask in Your Name You will do, so as to glorify Your Father (John 14:13-14). We claim this promise as we ask in the Name of Jesus that Sts. John and Paul School remain open for our children, who are first and foremost Your children. For love of God, we will obey Your Words in St. Paul’s first Letter to the Thessalonians, to “rejoice always, never cease praying, render constant thanks; such is God’s will for (us) in Christ Jesus.” We pray this in expectant faith in the Name of the Father, and the Son and Holy Spirit. Amen We also ask Your beloved disciples, St. John and St. Paul, to intercede with us as we pray for this special need. May their love for God’s Word be a powerful example for us as we trust in God’s plan for Sts. John and Paul School. We ask this, too, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
